Ethena’s integration with The Open Network (TON) marks a strategic push to democratize access to its yield-bearing stablecoin, USDe. By embedding the asset within Telegram’s ecosystem—a platform with nearly one billion users—the partnership targets emerging markets in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The move transforms Telegram into a neobank-like gateway for decentralized finance.

USDe will be integrated into TON’s non-custodial wallets and Telegram’s native custodial wallet, enabling seamless savings and DeFi participation. "Telegram’s global reach allows us to deliver a dollar savings vehicle to underserved economies," Ethena noted. The stablecoin will also be interoperable with TON-based DeFi protocols, further amplifying utility.
